Matric Students Affected as Punjab Boards Raise Registration & Migration Charges

Education boards across Punjabhave revised the registration and migration fee structure for matriculation students, affecting candidates of Classes 9 and 10 for the upcoming 2026–28 academic session. According to official sources, the decision has been taken in response to rising administrative and operational costs faced by the boards. All nine educational boards in the province have now formally opened the matric registration process under the updated fee schedule. Students are required to submit their registration forms with the normal fee by June 8, with the total registration cost set at Rs. 2,350, which includes Rs. 1,150 as registration fee, Rs. 870 as processing charges, and Rs. 300 as sports fee. Those who fail to meet the deadline will be allowed to apply between June 9 and June 23, but will have to pay an additional late fee of Rs. 600. The boards have also revised other service charges, including data correction fees of Rs. 750 until October 31 and Rs. 1,250 afterward, while subject change fees are set at Rs. 2,400 before the deadline and Rs. 2,900 after. The migration fee has been increased to Rs. 4,800. Students must submit B-Form and father’s CNIC for registration.
