Cambridge Faces Second Leak Scandal in AS Maths Exam

Cambridge International Education has officially confirmed that another AS-Level Mathematics paper was leaked online before the exam took place in Pakistan, raising serious concerns among students, parents, and schools. According to the board, Paper 52 of Mathematics (9709), conducted on May 12 in administrative zones 3 and 4, was shared on social media before the exam began. Many students claimed the paper matched solved questions circulating online a day earlier. Following the incident, Cambridge postponed the upcoming Mathematics Paper 32 exam scheduled for May 15 and announced that a replacement paper with a new date will be issued within the June series. Despite the disruption, the board assured students that AS and A-Level results will still be released on August 11 as planned. Cambridge officials described the leak as a deliberate criminal act aimed at damaging the integrity of examinations and confirmed that legal action is being pursued against those involved. This marks another major controversy in the current exam series after previous paper leak allegations earlier this year and during the 2024 examination session.
