Major Tech Collaboration Launches ‘AI Seekho’ for AI Education in Pakistan
Pakistan has taken a major step toward shaping its artificial intelligence future with the launch of the nationwide initiative AI Seekho 2026, a collaboration between Telenor Pakistan, Google, the Ministry of IT and Telecom (MoITT), and Innovista. The program is designed to equip young developers, students, and professionals with practical AI skills through a fully free, large-scale learning platform focused on hands-on innovation. According to officials, the initiative aims to transform Pakistan’s youth into a “future-ready” workforce by introducing modern concepts like vibe coding, generative AI tools, and product-based learning instead of traditional theory-heavy education. The program will run nationwide and includes structured online challenges where participants build apps or digital solutions, followed by competitive hackathons in major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. Winners will also have access to prizes and advanced development opportunities, further encouraging innovation in the AI space. Government representatives highlighted that Pakistan’s young population is a key strength in building an AI-powered digital economy, while industry partners emphasized the importance of scaling skills quickly to compete globally. Overall, AI Seekho 2026 is being seen as a powerful public-private collaboration that could significantly accelerate AI adoption, digital literacy, and startup growth across the country.
