Youth Empowerment Drive: Pakistan Introduces Free NAVTTC Skill Development Program

Pakistan has introduced a new fully funded vocational training initiative aimed at empowering young people with practical, industry-ready skills and opening stronger pathways toward employment in the fast-growing livestock and allied sectors. The program is being rolled out through a strategic partnership between the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the Livestock Exporters Association of Pakistan, with institutional backing from the Special Investment Facilitation Council and the Prime Minister’s Youth Program. This collaborative effort reflects a focused push to bridge the gap between education and real-world job opportunities, especially for rural and semi-urban youth. Under the scheme, selected candidates will undergo three months of completely free hands-on training in specialized fields such as Assistant Slaughterer/Helper (Level-II), fish farming techniques, cold chain management, export logistics certification practices, and meat processing with value addition and preservation methods. Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years of age and hold at least a middle or matric qualification. Training centers will be established in Mardan and Peshawar to facilitate access. Authorities have emphasized that limited seats are available, and interested candidates should complete registration before June 16, 2026. This initiative aims to strengthen workforce capacity, reduce unemployment, and create sustainable income opportunities for Pakistan’s youth.
