Sindh Board Exam Leak: 9th and 10th Class Papers Circulate in Karachi and Jacobabad
Sindh’s annual examination system is currently facing a serious integrity crisis, as fresh reports of paper leaks and widespread cheating have emerged from Karachi and Jacobabad, affecting both 9th and 10th-grade examinations. In Karachi, the 10th-grade Biology paper reportedly leaked before the exam even began, with solved answer sheets quickly circulating across WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms, raising serious concerns about the credibility of the examination process. Despite strict rules and an existing ban on mobile phones inside examination halls, the local administration has reportedly failed to identify or take effective action against those responsible for the leak. Similarly, in Jacobabad, the 9th-grade English paper was allegedly leaked during the exam session, where students were seen openly using mobile phones and modern digital devices to cheat without hesitation. Alarmingly, unauthorized individuals were also reported entering examination centers, despite the enforcement of Section 144 in the region. Sources further claim that some examination monitoring staff may be involved in facilitating these malpractices in exchange for monetary benefits, while official inspection teams remained largely absent throughout the day. This growing pattern of negligence and misconduct highlights a severe breakdown in the provincial education monitoring system, undermining fairness, transparency, and student merit across Sindh.
