Big Opportunity: HEC Announces GRE Training Program for US-Pak PhD Scholarships 2026
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has officially opened applications for its GRE General Training program under the prestigious US-Pak Knowledge Corridor PhD Scholarship initiative 2026, offering a valuable opportunity for Pakistani and AJK nationals aiming to pursue doctoral studies in top-ranked universities in the United States. This training program is specifically designed to equip high-achieving candidates with the necessary skills to secure admission in globally recognized institutions while strengthening academic and research collaboration between Pakistan and the US. According to HEC, structured GRE preparation sessions will be conducted in major cities including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Quetta to ensure nationwide accessibility. Applicants must have completed at least 16 years of education with a strong academic background. The age criteria require candidates to be under 35 years, while government and public sector faculty members may apply up to the age of 40. The last date to submit applications is June 20, 2026. Candidates achieving a GRE score of 300 or above may also qualify for ETS fee reimbursement and scholarship consideration at leading QS-ranked universities. This initiative aims to develop highly skilled researchers who can contribute to Pakistan’s higher education growth and innovation sectors.
