LUMS Tops Pakistani Universities in QS 2026 Global Rankings

Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has been ranked as the highest-performing university in Pakistan in the latest QS World University Rankings 2026.

The rankings place LUMS at 555th position globally, highlighting its strong academic reputation, research output, and employer recognition on the international stage. The QS rankings assess universities worldwide based on criteria such as teaching quality, research influence, faculty-student ratio, and global outlook.

Other Pakistani universities, including Quaid-i-Azam University and National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), also featured in the rankings, but LUMS maintained its lead as the country’s top institution.

University officials welcomed the recognition, emphasizing that it reflects LUMS’ continued focus on academic excellence, innovative research, and global collaboration. Education experts say this achievement further enhances Pakistan’s presence in international higher education.
