Pakistan Launches Knowledge Corridor Program With 500 Scholarships for Bangladesh
Pakistan has taken another significant step toward strengthening regional academic diplomacy by announcing 500 scholarships for Bangladeshi students over the next five years under the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor initiative. The program reflects a renewed commitment to enhancing educational cooperation, cultural understanding, and people-to-people connectivity between the two nations. Originally introduced by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during his 2025 visit to Bangladesh, the initiative has now entered its second phase with an official launch ceremony held in Dhaka on May 10, 2026. As part of the ongoing collaboration, a Bangladeshi academic delegation is currently visiting Pakistan for a three-week exchange program focused on building institutional partnerships, research cooperation, and student-faculty engagement. Officials believe the initiative will open new opportunities for higher education, innovation, and cross-border learning while improving bilateral relations through academic diplomacy. The Knowledge Corridor is also expected to create a sustainable framework for future collaboration between universities and research institutions in both countries.
