Pakistan’s NAAI Launches New AI Funding and Talent Development Drive
Pakistan is rapidly advancing its digital transformation agenda with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and innovation-led growth. The National Artificial Intelligence Advancement Initiative (NAAI) has launched a significant recruitment and capacity-building drive aimed at strengthening the country’s AI ecosystem. Through this initiative, the government is prioritizing digital skilling, research development, and the creation of a future-ready workforce. NAAI is currently hiring for two key leadership positions: Director HRD/Skills and Joint Director Seed/Funding, both central to shaping Pakistan’s AI roadmap. The Director HRD/Skills will be responsible for building a nationwide AI talent pipeline by designing structured training programs, micro-credentials, and partnerships with global platforms such as Coursera and edX. This role will also ensure inclusive access to digital education for women, rural communities, and differently-abled individuals. Meanwhile, the Joint Director Seed/Funding will focus on accelerating AI startups by managing seed funding, evaluating proposals, and coordinating with venture capital firms and incubators. The initiative reflects Pakistan’s ambition to build a structured AI economy supported by transparent funding systems and strong policy frameworks. Experts believe sustained investment and execution will be key to its long-term success in the global digital race world.
