Lahore Board Upgrades Practical Exams with New Automated System

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has taken a significant leap toward reforming the examination system by launching a fully automated process for practical exams, aiming to enhance fairness and transparency. This modern initiative aligns with the Punjab government’s vision to digitize key sectors and reduce human interference in critical procedures. Through this system, the selection and allocation of practical examiners will now be handled digitally, minimizing chances of bias or manipulation that were often linked with manual assignments. Authorities believe this shift will ensure that appointments are made strictly on merit, ultimately strengthening the credibility of the examination process. Alongside automation, the board has also introduced a centralized marking mechanism for practical exams, with all necessary arrangements already completed. Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has emphasized strict transparency across all examination stages, reinforcing accountability within the system. Officials highlight that such reforms are crucial for building public trust and maintaining academic integrity.
