Sindh Government Introduces New Private School Fee Policy 2026–27

The Government of Sindh has officially introduced a revised private school fee policy for the academic session 2026–27, aiming to provide relief to parents and ensure transparency in the education sector. Under the new regulations, private schools across the province will face stricter controls on annual fee increases, with clear guidelines set to prevent excessive charges.

According to the updated policy, schools will not be allowed to increase tuition fees beyond a specified percentage without prior approval from regulatory authorities. This move is designed to protect parents from sudden and unjustified fee hikes, which have been a long-standing concern in major cities like Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur.

Additionally, the policy introduces mandatory disclosure of fee structures, requiring schools to clearly communicate all charges—including tuition, admission, and miscellaneous fees—before the start of the academic session. Schools violating these rules may face penalties, fines, or even cancellation of registration.

The Sindh Education Department has emphasized that this initiative is part of broader education reforms aimed at improving accountability and ensuring quality education at affordable rates. Parents and guardians have welcomed the decision, calling it a much-needed step toward regulating private institutions.

This new fee structure policy is expected to significantly impact private schools, students, and families, bringing more balance between quality education and financial affordability in the province.
