Education Boost: Punjab Allocates 460 Scholarships for Balochistan Students
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has unveiled a major education initiative by offering 460 scholarships to students from Balochistan for the 2025–26 academic year. The program is designed to support talented students from low-income backgrounds, helping them overcome financial barriers and access quality higher education opportunities. Applications will be processed through the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund, ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process. Officials believe this step will particularly benefit students from remote and underserved areas, enabling them to continue their academic journeys and build brighter futures. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti praised the initiative, calling it a strong example of inter-provincial collaboration and a meaningful contribution toward national development. He also highlighted ongoing efforts within Balochistan to improve school infrastructure, enhance facilities, and reduce regional inequalities in education. The scholarship scheme represents a broader vision of creating equal opportunities for students across Pakistan while strengthening unity between provinces through shared progress in the education sector.
