New Scholars Network Launched in Pakistan for Australian Education Aspirants
The Consulate General of Pakistan Sydney has introduced a new initiative called the Australia-Pakistan Emerging Scholars Network, designed to assist Pakistani students who plan to pursue higher education in Australia. This program aims to build a structured mentorship bridge between students already studying in Australia and those preparing to begin their academic journey abroad. Through this network, experienced students will guide newcomers on key aspects such as university admissions, course selection, visa applications, accommodation options, and cultural adjustment, helping them better prepare for life in a new academic environment. Officials stated that the initiative is focused on reducing confusion and stress often faced by first-time international students by offering practical, real-world advice from peers who have already gone through the process. As part of its launch activities, the consulate will hold its first virtual mentoring session on April 29, 2026, at 7:30 PM (Australian Standard Time), where settled Pakistani students and future applicants will interact in a live Q&A format. The program reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen educational cooperation and community support between Pakistan and Australia. It is expected to play a key role in helping students make informed decisions, improve preparedness, and ensure a smoother transition into overseas academic life.
