April 9–10 SSC Exams Delayed in Islamabad Red Zone Confirms FBISE
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced a targeted postponement of SSC Part I and II examinations scheduled for April 9 and 10, creating a wave of concern among students assigned to select centres within Islamabad’s high-security Red Zone. This decision comes in response to extraordinary administrative measures and public holidays declared in the federal capital to ensure smooth security arrangements ahead of sensitive diplomatic engagements, including the anticipated US-Iran talks. While the disruption is limited to only three examination venues, it has significantly impacted candidates who were prepared to sit for key papers such as Urdu-II and Chemistry-I. Authorities have clarified that all other examination centres across the country will continue operating as per the original schedule, minimizing widespread academic disturbance. Students affected by this sudden change are advised to stay updated through official FBISE channels, as revised dates for the postponed exams will be announced soon. The move reflects the government’s priority to balance national security concerns with academic continuity, ensuring that students can resume their examinations without long-term setbacks.
