PIA Resumes London Flights; First Officer Farah Hussain Operates Key Route

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed its direct flight operations between the United Kingdom and Pakistan after a six-year suspension, with First Officer Farah Hussain operating a London–Lahore flight.

The long-awaited restoration of the route marks a major step for the national carrier, reconnecting passengers between London and Lahore. The flights had been suspended since 2020 following regulatory restrictions but were reinstated after compliance with international aviation safety standards.

Aviation officials described the development as a positive sign for Pakistan’s aviation sector, as the airline resumes operations on one of its most important international routes. The inclusion of First Officer Farah Hussain on the flight has also drawn attention, highlighting the growing role of women in the country’s aviation industry.

PIA is expected to operate multiple weekly flights on the UK route, improving travel convenience for overseas Pakistanis and strengthening air connectivity.

The resumption of London flights signals a fresh chapter for PIA, with renewed focus on safety, international standards, and operational expansion.
