Kashif Mirza, President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation, has strongly rejected the government’s proposal to further close schools across the country, emphasizing that education is a fundamental constitutional right that cannot be suspended under any circumstances.

Speaking on the matter, Kashif Mirza criticized the authorities, stating that education has never been treated as a priority by successive governments. He warned that prolonged closures would severely impact students’ academic progress and mental well-being.

He further clarified that academic activities will continue as planned, confirming that Schools-Based Assessment (SBA) and board examinations will be conducted according to the existing schedule, ensuring minimal disruption for students nationwide.

Mirza urged policymakers to adopt balanced strategies that protect both public health and students’ right to education, rather than opting for blanket school closures.
