Two prominent Pakistani figures, actress Hania Aamir and filmmaker Saman Kamraan, have earned international recognition by being included in the Forbes30 Under 30 Asia list under the entertainment category. The annual compilation, now in its 11th edition, celebrates 30 emerging young leaders across Asia who are reshaping their industries through creativity, innovation, and influence. Hania Aamir continues to dominate the digital and entertainment space as one of Pakistan’s most widely followed celebrities, recently surpassing 20 million followers on Instagram. With a career spanning nearly a decade, she has delivered standout performances in several hit television dramas, including Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and Meri Zindagi Hai Tu. She is also part of Pakistan’s upcoming Netflix original production Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, further expanding her global footprint. Beyond acting, she was appointed UN Women’s National Goodwill Ambassador in October, reflecting her growing influence beyond the screen. Saman Kamraan has gained critical attention for her bold and socially conscious storytelling in filmmaking. Her short film The Bed She Made represented Pakistan at the Busan International Short Film Festival, where it explored the intersection of climate change and reproductive struggles within a deeply layered social context. The film was praised for its striking visual language and emotional depth, with festival curators highlighting its contrast between delicate imagery and harsh realities. Her earlier work includes assisting on Umro Ayyar, a rare Pakistani science fiction feature, showcasing her versatility in the industry. Pakistan’s presence in the Forbes list has been intermittent, with past honourees including Arshad Nadeem, Bushra Sultan, Zain Ahmed, Abdullah Siddiqui, Misha Japanwala, and Momina Mustehsan, reflecting the country’s evolving creative talent on the global stage.
