Punjab Empowers Women with ‘e-Learn She Earn’ Digital Training Initiative

The Government of Punjab has introduced a new empowerment initiative called “e-Learn She Earn”, designed to help women build digital skills and create income opportunities through online work. This one-year program, with an estimated budget of Rs700 million, focuses on women aged between 15 and 35 across the province, aiming to bridge the gap between education and employment in the digital age. Through free three-month training courses, participants will be equipped with practical skills in areas such as digital customer support, graphic designing, e-commerce management, online marketing, and virtual assistance. Officials highlight that the program is structured to match current global job market demands, enabling women to work remotely or start their own digital ventures. To ensure equal access, selected trainees will also be provided with laptops, internet facilities, and monthly financial support during the training period. This initiative is expected to reduce barriers such as lack of resources and connectivity, especially for women in underserved communities. By promoting digital literacy and entrepreneurship, the program aims to increase female workforce participation and strengthen Pakistan’s growing digital economy while fostering long-term social and economic inclusion.
