Student Safety Boost: Pink Button Emergency System Launched in Punjab

The Punjab School Education Department has announced the rollout of a “Pink Button” emergency alert system in all public and private schools across the province to strengthen student safety. The system allows schools to quickly notify authorities in case of any security threat or emergency, ensuring a faster response. Under the directive, every school must install the Pink Button, and teachers and students are required to register on the platform for effective operation. District education CEOs have been instructed to activate the system promptly and reinforce overall security arrangements. Officials emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance safety in educational institutions, while strict action will be taken against schools that fail to comply with the government’s instructions regarding installation and activation.
